Unión Nacional de Asociaciones Ganaderas Colombianas – Unaga
The National Union of Colombian Livestock Associations UNAGA was born in November 1954, it was constituted in its beginnings by the Associations of Breeders of the Holstein, Santa Gertrudis, Norman, Cebu and Blanco Orejinegro Breeds.
The first mission decided by the directors was the participation in the National Exhibition that was to be held the year after its establishment, on the grounds of the Fairs and Exhibitions Corporation. From then in 1955 until 1967 UNAGA assumed the organization of the exhibitions of cattle that were made in the city of Bogotá. UNAGA took a great step to make its alliance with CORFERIAS, as a result of this alliance was born AGROEXPO, in which it was agreed that this event would be held every two years and alternated with the Industrial Exhibition Fair.
